Scott Astle

Founder, AlgoGig

A system analyst embedded inside the delivery gig economy, focused on real driver profit.

About Scott Astle

Scott Astle built AlgoGig from direct, high-volume delivery experience and a growing frustration with how gig platforms present earnings. Most apps show gross pay. Very few drivers are shown what they actually keep after fuel, vehicle wear, waiting time, and other hidden costs.

That gap between app-reported earnings and real take-home profit is the problem AlgoGig was created to solve.

Why He Built AlgoGig

Delivery drivers are constantly making decisions about time, cost, and effort, often using incomplete information. A shift can look profitable in the app while producing much lower real earnings once expenses are considered.

AlgoGig is being built to bring transparency to that reality. The goal is to help drivers understand what they actually keep, not just what the app says they made.

Field Experience

Scott’s perspective is grounded in real-world operational experience. He has worked at high delivery volume, studied pay variation, tracked system behavior, and examined how timing, distance, order quality, and hidden costs affect real hourly profit.

This is not theory from the outside. It is analysis from inside the system.

What He Writes About

  • Real profit vs gross earnings
  • Delivery driver costs and hidden expenses
  • Shift strategy and timing
  • Platform comparison
  • The real-world economics of gig delivery work

The Mission Behind AlgoGig

AlgoGig is being built to help delivery drivers move from guesswork to clarity. The mission is simple: expose real take-home profit, improve decision-making, and give drivers a more honest picture of what delivery work is actually paying.

For drivers trying to understand whether a shift, an app, or a work pattern is truly worth it, that clarity matters.
